Although unoccupied, local residents have reported seeing faces in the windows and, occasionally, flickers of light through the windows.
Our Experience
Our very first ghost hunt brought us to the sleepy village of Littleton, NC where the Cryptozoology and Paranormal Museum organizes paranormal hunts. The Museum was chock full of Bigfoot paraphernalia, jackalopes, haunted dolls, and the like. Most of us were finding it hard to take everything serious, as it all seemed a bit wacky, but we persevered.
After an orientation of the equipment and the locale, we walked over to Person’s Ordinary which was a block or so away.
We were all new to ghost hunting, and each one of us randomly chose some equipment to use. The Museum had provided EMF detectors, REM Pods, divining rods, and temperature sensors. Additionally we had brought a laser grid pen, video recorders, and used our cell phones for audio recordings.
The building’s hot spots were primarily in the upstairs bedrooms and in the main living room, according to the staff. We spent a couple hours in the house trying to capture EVPs, video evidence, or personal experiences, but nothing remarkable happened.
The museum staff had told us that the upstairs bedroom floor boards were still stained with blood from a violent murder. We spent time up there trying to reach out to a ghost but did not find any evidence. We had a teddy bear with built in motion detector in the center of the room, but he never graced us with any movement.
Overall, it was a fun experience for our first ever attempt to hunt for ghosts.
